In efforts to enhance the quality of life within the community through live music performance, Cheryl Lockett, in association with the Merced County Arts Council presents The Blues of Etta James.
The Concert presentation is designed to take the audience on a journey through the songbook of the late, legendary and soulful blues diva, Etta James, a songstress who exemplified the spirit of the blues with her voice.
This event will feature Cheryl Lockett, a vocalist with a profound resonance of sound that impeccably illuminates an aesthetically pleasing and cohesive composition of music from deep cultural roots in the blues. Lockett's personal arsenal of musicians is an aggregation of accomplished, world-class entertainers, that collectively emit a prolific timbre of instrumentation and groove element.
