Loop 2.4.3 Presents Transportive Musical Bliss
The Tank presents a program of new music and words featuring Brooklyn artists Loop 2.4.3, who "create transportive percussion odysseys" (The Boston Phoenix - Editor's Picks), Tom Burnett and Jon Catler. Loop 2.4.3's programming possesses an inherent dramatic narrative utilizing subtle melodic textures and primal drumming passages that will have you alternately in a state of meditative cyber-bliss and then jumping out of your seat in an adrenaline surge. Burnett joins the duo in a world premiere collaborative work, and will perform his treatment of Phillip Glass' film classic, Mad Rush (piano pyrotechnics provided by Istvan B'Racz). Opening up the evening will be microtonal guitarist and inventor, Jon Catler. Catler, known for his work with La Monte Young, will perform a 20-minute set of his own compositions for electric guitar.
