Coming Together for Health: An Al-Shifa Benefit Auction
The Al-Shifa Health Resource Center is hosting its second annual benefit auction. All proceeds will benefit the continuously-growing clinic. Come join us for this most special occasion to support the clinic as well as celebrate Al-Shifa's purpose.
Al Shifa's mission is to provide culturally competent, holistic healthcare to underserved communities of King County and to be leaders in creating an effective student-run health and social services model that partners with local organizations in providing community-based support. Staffing and services are of voluntary will through the hearts and minds of University of Washington School of Medicine students, physicians, affiliates and their advocates.
The event will gather on February 27th, 2009, from 6p-9p. Doors open at 6p, which will commence the silent auction process, and dinner will be served at 6:30. The live auction and program will begin at 7:15pm. The event will take place at the University of Washington, South Campus Center Room 316. Parking is complimentary and is located behind the University of Washington Medical Center.
Tickets cost $50, and include a catered 3-dish dinner. A table for 6 can be purchased for $250. Please contact Danna Lei (danna.lei@gmail.com) directly if you are interested in purchasing a table for your group.
The night will include both a silent and a live auction, live entertainment through the University of Washington, an interactive dessert dash, as well as a presentation of the Al-Shifa Health Resource Center. Dress is semi-formal.
