Description
For many people Martin Hayes epitomizes the fiddle music of County Clare. He first started playing when he was seven years old and, by the age of thirteen, was touring with the Tulla Ceili Band, arguably the most revered and famous ceili band in Ireland. He was also entering national competitions and winning them. By the age of twenty he had won every available competition in the country.

Martin Hayes has been an All-Ireland fiddle champion six times over and has received a Hot Press Heineken Award and a National Entertainment Award (the Irish equivalent of the "Grammy").

Dennis Cahill is a master guitarist, as well versed in classical, blues and rock as he is in traditional Irish music. A native of Chicago born to parents from County Kerry, he studied at the citys prestigious Music College before becoming an active member of the local music scene. Cahills innovative accompaniment is acknowledged as being a major breakthrough for guitar in the Irish tradition. In addition to his work with Hayes, Dennis has performed with such renowned fiddlers as Liz Carroll, Eileen Ivers and Kevin Burke.

"There's no more impressive partnership in Irish instrumental music today than Martin Hayes & Dennis Cahill." - The Irish Echo
