Bob Marley, New England's King of Comedy (Early Show 6:30 p.m.)
Last spring, Maine's own Bob Marley, one of the top comedians in America today, did something no other performer has ever done at the Franco Center when he performed a pair of back-to-back shows in one night in our magnificent Performance Hall. We're thrilled to welcome Bob back for another two shows in what we hope will become an annual comedy tradition in Lewiston. Tickets are just $25 and if last year was any indication, they'll go quickly again this year.
If you were here on March 30th for Marley's Franco Center debut, you'll remember just how "on fire" he was that evening. His hilarious observations about the graphic design quality of "Fill Wanted" signs, to the subject matter of phone calls with his mother, to a side-splitting story of a family vacation to Disney World, Marley brought tears of laughter to the faces of our nearly 800 patrons over the course of two shows.
Married to a woman from Lewiston, Marley is no stranger to L/A. Our bar will be open starting at 5:30 p.m. for an entire hour before the first show at 6:30 (this year we've added an extra half-hour between shows) and won't close until the second show begins at 9 p.m. So come in and get a drink or two with your friends and try not to herniate yourself laughing once the show begins.
