Fun with Paint & Collage for Kids

These classes are open to people who purchased a Living Social discount coupon (valid through October 19) AND to any child age 7 or older who is interested in learning basic collage and acrylic painting techniques. (No further payment is necessary if you hold an LS coupon. Payment is required without a coupon.)

In my well-equipped home studio you'll find an extensive collection of fun and interesting papers, discarded books, and other "ephemera" (things like ticket stubs, labels, wrappers, and other cast-offs of daily life) that will spark your imagination. I'll show you how to stick these onto paper or a board, and combine them with acrylic (permanent, non-toxic) paint to create a one-of-a-kind piece of art to take home.

Participants do not need any prior art experience. The focus is on learning techniques and experimenting with paper and paint, in a casual, supportive environment. All materials are provided.

The studio is in my home's garage. It faces the street and I keep the large garage door open to the outside. Consider the weather and dress appropriately for nearly-outside. Also dress for a mess! I have paint shirts for those who want to protect their clothing.

Children ages 14 and older may attend either the kids' classes or the adult classes.
