SteelDrivers Concert with Johnson Caney Bluegrass Band
The SteelDrivers were nominated by IBMA and AMA for Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Emerging Artist of the Year Awards. "If one record stands the bluegrass world on its ear this year, it'll be The SteelDrivers; no 'bluegrass' record in recent memory changes the lay of the land more." The Houston Press.
The Sullivan Performing Arts Theater, an equisite 800 seat theater will host these two bands. Every seat is a great seat in this theater!
Tickets will be available on October 1st for $15.00 online plus S&H. Performance will start at 7:00 with the Johnson Caney Bluegrass Band warming up the audience.
Billy Watkins, Doug Kennedy, Steve Walsh, Alex Riffle and Larry Light decided to get together and play some hard driving bluegrass under the name of Johnson Caney. They have played together, and in other bands for the last 30 years, with the exception of Alex Riffle (banjo), who is only 16. With their collective years of experience, you will always get a show filled with great harmonies and great pickin'.
