Description
Those of us are blessed indeed who like nothing better than to slurp down, off the half shell, a cold Crassostrea Virginicus, our own, native East Coast oyster, for they, ranging from Canada to the Gulf, are among the best.

Join Karen Rivara, Long Island oyster farmer, and Gregg Rivara, Cornell Aquaculture specialist, to enjoy an array of oysters raised in Long Island waters and to learn; why shellfish aquaculture is sustainable, why you can ignore conventional wisdom about eating oysters only in "R" months, and why Crassostrea Virginicus display different taste profiles based on their "meroirs", the waters in which they grew until harvest.

And, with your oysters, you will enjoy the great, estate wines selected specially by our host, Greg Moore, of Snail of Approval winning Moore Brothers Wine Company.

Notes
Learn about our local oysters while enjoying the great estate wines poured by Greg Moore of Moore Brothers Wine Company.
