This two week festival from Intersection;s Hybrid Project highlights the deep roster of Living Word artists, and the special performance vision of Resident Artist Marc Bamuthi Joseph. These shows;some being heard for the first time;will bring you spoken word art in a theatrical world. This unique fusion of theatre with elements of live music, hip-hop, spoken word, experimental theatre, and visual arts is performed by some of this generation;s most exhilarating young artists.
Week 1 features live music theatre works from Youth Speaks; artists Denizen Kane, Lauren Whitehead, and others.
Week 2 features first time theatre pieces from spoken word artists including Jose Vadi and others with a special curtain raiser from a new solo work by Jason Mateo.
