Ice on Fire Screening at Sebastiani Theatre
Please join us for the first Bay Area screening of Ice on Fire, a gripping film on climate change produced and narrated by Leonardo DiCaprio. The HBO documentary moves beyond just talking about the climate crisis to highlight a number of practical CO2 draw down solutions including a segment on biochar presented by Raymond Baltar, program manager at Sonoma Biochar Initiative, a Sonoma Ecology Center program.
The film starts at 7 p.m. at Sebastiani Theatre, with light refreshments and wine courtesy of Benziger Family Winery served at 6 p.m. in the foyer. A thought-provoking panel discussion will follow the film, moderated by Baltar and featuring Ice on Fire director Leila Conners, Redwood Forest Foundation Chief Forester Linwood Gill, and others. Baltar, a nationally recognized biochar expert, was interviewed for the film while working under contract with the Redwood Forest Foundation in Mendocino County.
The screening is co-sponsored by Redwood Forest Foundation, Pacific Biochar, Oregon Biochar Solutions and Benziger Winery.
25 tickets will be available at the door.
