Geekenders, Vancouver's preeminent nerdy event and theatre troupe, are back with a party convention for everybody who ever just wanted to put on a costume and be awesome for 72 hours. Partnering with Barkerville Historic Town, Geekenders is proud to announce 'Geekenders: Take the Sky', an action-packed minicon for everyone with a little bit of geekery in their soul, and that means YOU'RE INVITED!
Join hosts ranging from Captain Hammer and Dr. Horrible (Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog) to Max Quordlepleen, Zaphod Beeblebrox and the Guide (Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy), to GLaDOS, Wheatley and Cave Johnson (Portal) for the party of the 19th century!
Take the Geekenders time-traveling party bus back in time to Barkerville in 1868 for a relaxing weekend of afternoon teas, stagecoach rides, and gold panning. But things are a little wacky, as fandoms collide and holes are ripped in the space-time continuum.
Combining Geekenders' trademark fandom-based theatre with a cast of dozens of historical interpreters and Barkerville magic, Geekenders: Take the Sky promises to combine events you've never seen before at cons (laser tag quick draw!) with screenings, panels, and our trademark mix of costume contests, trivia, burlesque, and epic parties and prizes!

Guests will be rooming at hotels ranging from an original Barkerville brothel and boarding house to a grand old 1930s hotel and pub. Rooms are first-come, first-serve, so buy your tickets now! Please note, however, that rooms can only sleep two (unless otherwise noted), which must be strictly enforced; most rooms have only a double or queen-sized bed. Anyone caught room stuffing will void their rights to continued stay at their own expense. If you have a friend or partner who you wish to stay with, please include their name with your ticket reservation so we can make sure that you're together.
