Party for the Parks 2013:Amusement on the Avenue
On Saturday, September 21, the Charleston Parks Conservancy will host the fourth annual Party for the Parks: Amusement on the Avenue. The event will take place on Ashley Avenue between Broad Street and Beaufain Street overlooking Colonial Lake in downtown Charleston. The event features live entertainment, music, exciting auctions, delicious street fare food and an open bar!
The Charleston Parks Conservancy was founded in 2007 with a mission to increase the quality, awareness, appreciation and usage of Charleston's parks and greenspaces. The Conservancy currently works in 21% of the City of Charleston's 120 green spaces providing support in the form of beautification, park renovation, and horticultural expertise. In addition the Conservancy has recently launched Educate You, a program designed to educate the community about green spaces, vegetation, community gardening, recreation, fitness and art!
Sponsors of the event will reach a diverse audience in the greater Charleston area via promotional materials (both printed and electronic), signage at the event, V.I.P. event tickets and a complimentary membership with the Conservancy.
We expect to attract over 800 attendees. The group consists of community members and professionals with an interest in improving our parks and city.
Tickets are $65 at the door and $85 in advance. Proceeds from this event support the Conservancy's mission to increase the quality, awareness, appreciation and usage of Charleston's parks and greenspaces.
