| Description |
Blood. Guts. Gore. Costumes. Carnage. All words that describe not only Halloween, but women's flat track roller derby! The Broward County Derby Grrls (BCDG), South Florida's only roller derby league, are back to battle it out at their highly anticipated Halloween-themed bout, Derby of the Dead, to prove Florida can dominate any challengers that dare cross their path. On Saturday, October 25th fans can see one of the first national contender bouts ever hosted in the South Florida when the BCDG go head to head with the Killamazoo Derby Darlins from Kallamazoo, Michigan.
Roller derby has experienced a nation-wide explosion in the past few years, and now it's taken over South Florida. With a refreshing twist on your grandma's roller derby, the newly reincarnated sport leaves behind the wrestling style scripts of the past and ushers in a full contact, no holds barred legitimate sport where women in fishnets, costumes and stockings speed around the flat track with manic fury and unstoppable mayhem. The hits, the blood, the injuries, and the glory are all one hundred percent real. However, while these derby grrls are brutal on the track, they have big hearts off of it. A portion of the proceeds from the bout go to benefit Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital.
BCDG's Derby of the Dead will take place starting at 6 pm on Saturday, October 25th. Doors open at 5 pm.
Fans can also enjoy Goldcoast's full liquor bar and right after can walk next door for BCDG's official afterparty at Chopper Zoo Bar, inside Bourget's Bike Works. There will be great drink specials, food, music, and derby grrl leg wrestling!!

Roller derby is a hard-hittin' fast-paced sport! We'd like to remind everyone that if you're sitting rinkside, be sure to pay attention! Remember, all fans ENTER AT THEIR OWN RISK!
No large bags or backpacks allowed!
So leave 'em in the car! We allow re-entry with a wrist band. Also, no outside food or beverage. Small pillows/cushions allowed.
CAMERA & RECORDING POLICY
No digital cameras with detachable lenses, SLR cameras or other audio visual digital recording devices are permitted without a photo release form. To obtain a photo release form please email info@bcdg.net
NO TAILGATING!
Please refrain from tailgating with your own alcohol. Also, please be responsible after the bout and don't drink and drive! Rollergirls don't like drunk drivers, and we'll kick your ass.
