Room One - Becoming Marilyn Monroe
August 4, 1962 was Marilyn Monroe's last full day alive. In this installation, performance artist Alice Toohey invites viewers to witness a day in the life of the actress and engage with her in the intimate space of her bedroom.
Alice Toohey has transformed herself physically and emotionally into Marilyn Monroe over the last year, an experience she continues to blog about (www.alicetoohey.com) and document through photography. This day-long performance is a culmination of that work and the completion of her physical embodiment of Marilyn.
This performance installation will be open from 9:00 am-9:00 pm. When you purchase your ticket you have the opportunity to choose an hour of the day to attend the performance. Please stay as long as you like, but we ask that you arrive at the time on your ticket.
Please use street parking at the venue.
