Northern Ireland Film Festival
National Constitution Center Philadelphia, PA
On November 7 & 8, 2008, the Ulster American Society will host the Northern Ireland Film Festival in Philadelphia to showcase positive, forward-looking films made in or about Northern Ireland to: raise American awareness of today's Northern Ireland and change misperceptions; help Americans discover Northern Ireland including its Irish and Scots-Irish cultures; and foster increased American tourism, trade, and investment in Northern Ireland.
Events will be held at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia's Old City section and close to fine restaurants, hotels, and landmarks including Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell.
Anyone wishing to help support peacemaking, recovery, and development in Northern Ireland; open to new perspectives and unique experiences; having or possibly having ancestral roots in Northern Ireland; or interested in Irish and Scots-Irish cultures should attend.
Note: All films approximate the Motion Picture Association of America's G, PG, or PG-13 rating.
