Join the family! Pre-Register today and you will save money off of the gate price!
The Down Home Camp-N-Jam BBQ Cook Off isn't a festival with multiple stages and vendors. It's a reunion of Midwest bands, musicians, artists and families who come together in the spring, summer and fall for a weekend camp out to share their love of music, nature and BBQ in a family style setting for all ages to enjoy.
Musicians and Bands for July 2013 are:
Kyle Elliott and Voodoo Soul Shedding Watts The Magnificent Bang Bangs The Dirty Rhythm Band Drew and Phriends
Potluck Lunch Solo Artist - Amanda Wish Potluck Dinner Solo Artist - Frank Rardon
Hands on Musical Workshop - Improvisation by Andrew "Drew" Earl
Reunions start on Friday afternoon with camping setup, orientation, time for R&R, fun family activities, a potluck dinner and open campsite jams. The BBQ Cook Off begins on Friday at 6pm in the evening for those who like to use a smoker and need up to 24 hours for their entry to cook.
Saturdays are relaxed with more fun activities for families and teams, the BBQ Cook Off conclusion and judging, a community potluck lunch and dinner (both with music), and time for friends and family. Featured artist performances start on the stage after the potluck dinner and go until midnight.
Sunday mornings host a Big Breakfast Potluck at the Main Stage from 10am-11am and then we pack up and bid farewell until next time.
The musicians who participate in this Family Reunion are some of the best in the Midwest music community. They perform and join in spontaneous jams and fellowship with others in our big musical family just for the love of it all. It's comprised of Bluegrass, Rock-N-Roll, Blues, Folk, Americana, Funk and Jazz roots.
Those behind the scenes donate their time and services to make the reunion happen.
