The Four Seasons
The Four Seasons is an electric experience that rotates around the continued patterns we as human beings encounter each and every day. Weaving in and out of life, love, death, the changing of seasons, chance encounters, and numerous cups of coffee, this ensemble piece never stops moving. The 45 singers, ranging from opera to folk and from jazz to indie, 13 speaking roles, 35 ancestor figures, 20 dancers, 15 instrumentalists, alongside the creative team, come together to create one mind-tingling dance-theatre piece.

Jacob W. Patorti, Artistic Director of The Merchants Hall STAGE Series, wrote to Charles L. Mee, fondly known as Chuck, with his vision of this inspiring piece and how it could be brought to life. Chuck was delighted and encouraged Jacob's vision and consequently we were offered the incredible honor of being able to produce the piece this summer.

Chuck Mee has written Big Love and True Love and First Love, bobrauschenbergamerica and Hotel Cassiopeia, Iphigenia 2.0 and Trojan Women A Love Story, and Summertime and Wintertime among other plays; all of them available on the internet at www.charlesmee.org.

He was honored with a full season of his plays at the Signature Theatre. Among other awards, he is the recipient of the gold medal for lifetime achievement in drama from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and of the Richard B. Fisher Award. He is also the author of a number of books of history, and the former Editor-in-Chief of Horizon magazine, a magazine of history, art, literature, and the fine arts. His work is made possible by the support of Richard B. Fisher and Jeanne Donovan Fisher.
