Hops Seminar & Farm Tour

Learn about hops by actually walking through a hop farm, seeing hop processing facilities, and doing sensory training with the real deal right in your own hands. This trip is focused on beverage industry professionals, people formally studying beer, and ultra enthusiasts. This experience only comes once a year due to Hop harvest time, and is available nowhere else in the Midwest.

We will have hop information booklets for you for the bus ride up. This is a whole day focused on Humulus Lupulus!
Itinerary:
7:00am - Assemble at Hopleaf bar
7:30am: Depart (Please note that we can not wait)
-There is free parking on the side streets
-A 3 to 3.5 hour trip
-55 passenger coach, with restroom, and room for each person to have two seats
-Drinks and snacks provided
11:00-11:30am: Arrive at Gorst valley
-Catered Lunch. Yes, with beer!
-Meet and Greet with Gorst Valley
11:30-5pm: Gorst valley presentation time
-Hops educational presentation
-sensory analysis with hop cones and beer
-beer tasting, of course.
-farm tour (hops in all stages)
-processing facility tour.
5:00pm: Depart for home
-Snacks, drinks, and beer provided on the bus ride home
8-9pm: Arrive back home

Fine print
--Tickets are limited, and the discount applies only to individuals who are Certified Beer Servers or higher with the Cicerone Certification Program, bar owners, and beer buyers. Names will be verified, therefore there is a single ticket purchase per person.
--Please understand that this is an expensive trip and each ticket is required to cover costs. Therefore, refunds on tickets can only be issued if we can find a replacement for you. We will do everything we can to facilitate that should the need arise.
--We are on a tight timeline and for that reason can not hold the bus for late comers. We will leave very promptly at 7:30am!
*Please drink responsibly and consider your alcohol consumption on the bus if your plan is to drive home after getting off the bus*
