Gaylarious! Season Finale!
Gaylarious is the outrageous stand-up comedy show for DC's LGBT community and our straight friends. The show is produced and hosted by Chris Doucette and Zach Toczynski, along with MK Paulsen and Chelsea Shorte!
Gaylarious brings together the best LGBT stand-up comics from around the country for one night of ridiculous hilarity. Our special Pride show is so big, we're doing TWO SHOWS: one at 8:00 and one at 10:00. We've got these great comics:
JUSTIN SAYRE
Justin is best known as the creator and host of The Meeting* of the International Order of Sodomites, the acclaimed comedy/variety show. The Meeting* was named one of the Top 10 nightclub shows of 2011 by Time Out New York and received the 2012 Bistro Award for "Comedy Artistry" and a 2011 MAC Award nomination for Best Male Comedy Performance. Justin is a child of Forty Fort, Pennsylvania who demonstrated a supernatural instinct for "camp" at an early age. With a voice straight out the MGM finishing school for girls, he moved to New York believing it was still 1947. He was terribly misinformed.
MOLLY "EQUALITY" DYKEMAN (aka Andrea Alton)
Molly "Equality" Dykeman (aka Andrea Alton) is a New York based poet, unlicensed security guard and lover of all of ladies. She also loves to eat nachos. Molly has performed her comedy all over New York, including performances at Gotham, Comix, XL, The PIT, The Comedy Cellar, Arlene's Grocery, The Knitting Factory, The Laughing Devil, The Stonewall Inn, Dixon Place and The Laurie Beechman Theater. Until Molly's recent blacklisting, she also had performed her poetry at various churches and synagogues.
Molly has performed at the Chicago, Toronto, Washington DC, Boston, San Francisco Comedy Festivals as well as in Provincetown, MA. Her solo show, The F*cking World According To Molly, received rave reviews when it premiered at the 2011 New York New York Fringe Festival. She made her European debut with the show in 2012 when she performed at the 2012 Dublin Int. Gay Theater Festival. Her solo show will be back in New York in May of 2013 for the soloNOVA Festival.
TIM DILLON
Tim Dillon is a NYC based comedian who has performed at Caroline's, Broadway Comedy Club, Gotham Comedy Club, the UCB Theatre, NY Comedy Club, and many others. He runs a monthly show at the Creek and the Cave in Long Island City. He has been a contributing writer for VH1's Best Week Ever.
