6TH ANNUAL LA TAP FESTIVAL & FINAL CONCERT
The Debbie Allen Dance Academy presents The 6th Annual Los Angeles Tap Festival August 4th - August 9th, celebrating five generations of Artistry spanning over 90 years. Master instructors and concert performers include giants of entertainment Debbie Allen, Emmy Award Winning Choreographer Jason Samuels Smith the youngest and only black tap dancer to ever win, Chloe Arnold, Dianne Walker, Arthur Duncan, Kennedy Tap Company, Anyone Can Get It, and special guests.
The week is filled with over 90 classes hosting students from Canada, Japan, Sweden, Brazil and Finland. There will be a Jam Session, Seminar on the business of Show Business, a Cutting Contest, and Student Showcase.
Culminating the week is an unforgettable, electrifying Tap Masters and Jazz Musicians Concert Performance paying tribute to the Legend Jimmy Slyde. The show will be held Saturday, August 9th, at 8:00pm, at Norman J Pattiz Concert Hall at Alexander Hamilton High School, 2955 S. Robertson Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90034. Seating is limited.
