Sent to Norway for the Olympic Games I was plunged into sub zero temperatures, an unexpected cultural gap, and a sporting event so epic that all of Norway stopped to watch. Over 100,000 spectators camped overnight in the snow to watch their national heroes, their national sport, their passion cross country skiing. And the result was so thrilling, so down-to-the-finish line tense, and so unexpected, that there are fans right now who say, with a straight face, that it was the greatest race in Olympic history.
