Alegre Carnaval, hosted by the Merit Associates, an auxiliary board of Merit School of Music, is a fundraising event that helps support music education at Merit School of Music. The evening features performances by Merit's student ensembles, including the Latin Jazz Band and Alegre Strings. This year, the Merit Associates will honor two distinguished Merit alumni, Anthony McGill and Demarre McGill.
