2013 Tiny Dance Film Festival
Tiny Dance Film Festival (TDFF) is an annual festival based in San Francisco that celebrates dances made for the screen. TDFF features short dance films created by both emerging and established filmmakers and choreographers from across the globe. We open our doors to any and all forms of movement on camera.
Held in a city that has just begun hosting its first major dance film festival (the annual San Francisco Dance Film Festival), there's still plenty of room for dance filmmakers and producers to stretch into new territory. TDFF, which prioritizes dance filmmakers who embrace brevity and experimentation (thus the name "Tiny," -- reminiscent of the irreverent Disposable Film Festival) alongside grassroots gusto that elevates both emerging and established artists, promises to be an exciting entree of dance films for the connoisseur and curious alike.
TDFF is produced be detour dance, a contemporary dance company based in the Bay Area. TDFF and detour dance are directed by Kat Cole and Eric Garcia.
