WELCOME FROM RABBI DAVID GREENSPOON
Shalom and welcome! I'm delighted you are considering joining me for the High Holy Days this coming September. I am partnering with Sara J. Cohen from Kibbutz Ketura in Israel who will add her beautiful voice to our services as our cantorial soloist. We have an intimate and beautiful space to be the home for our spiritually meaningful and engaging services. We will be hosted in THE FELLOWSHIP HALL, by our friends at Trinity Lutheran Church at 109 MAIN STREET, REISTERSTOWN, MD
The Days of Awe often assert a special spiritual pull on our lives. Many folks who don't necessarily belong to a synagogue find themselves in search of a prayer community that is open and welcoming. They are looking for prayer services that are equally introspective and inspiring. It is during this prayer time that we make ourselves mindful of the present, ask ourselves to consider how we have been in the past, and resolve to what we might become in the future. Heart and soul, mind and spirit we want, as individuals and in connection with our biological and human families, we seek to be reconnected to a sense of holy purpose and meaning. This is the complex spiritual reality our High Holy Day services are crafted to address. There will be no politics, no fundraising appeals, nor even pre-assigned seats. Our services will be fully egalitarian; no gender distinction exists in the conduct and participation of the services. Everyone is welcome.
Please feel free to e-mail me at rabbigreenspoonhighholydays@gmail.com if you have any questions. I look forward to joining together in September!
