Dog Sees God
"Dog Sees God" on 5/3-5/5 at Emmanuel Episcopal Church
BALTIMORE, MD March 24, 2013 The creative minds of 7 Ronin are reuniting again for a production of Bert V. Royal's "Dog Sees God: Confession of a Teenage Blockhead" at Emmanuel Episcopal Church May 3rd, 4th, and 5th. Director Alec Lawson and the talented 7 Ronin production team developed this inspired production. "Dog Sees God: Confession of a Teenage Blockhead" is a comedy that re-imagines the Peanuts comic strip characters as teenagers in an unauthorized-parody. Drug use, suicide, eating disorders, teen violence, rebellion and sexual identity are all topics found throughout the play. "Dog Sees God" uses comedy to break through typical high school clichés to create characters you'll connect with even if you've never read the comic. 7 Ronin Productions is a company filled with young creative minds with a flavor for a dark aesthetic and experimental theater. They use this view-point to develop emotionally and visually impacting shows.
Tickets are $15 and available day of the show at the door (cash only). The dates are May 3rd at 8pm, May 4th at 8pm, and May 5th at 5pm. Student tickets will be available for $12 with a student ID. Performances will be at Emmanuel Episcopal Church at 811 Cathedral St. Parking is available in the PMI lot directly behind the church (enter the lot off Charles or Read Streets). The fees for this lot vary depending on day and time. Street parking, both metered and unmetered, is often available throughout the neighborhood.
