On June 18th, 2008, Dead Channels will present Sean Abley's SOCKET as the inaugural presentation of our summer screening series White-Hot 'n Warped Wednesdays, a part of Thrillpeddlers Ridiculous Theatre Revival. SOCKET will screen at both 7pm and 9:15pm, and though tickets are available at the door - seating is limited, so advance tickets are HIGHLY recommended.

SOCKET is presented with the kind co-operation of TLA Releasing and we'll be joined by the film's producers Doug Prinzivalli and John Carrozza who have kindly volunteered to introduce the film and participate in post-screening Q&As as well.

SOCKET is a dark and sexual sci-fi/horror story about survivors of lightning strikes who come through the experience with an insatiable addiction to electric current, eventually compelling them to modify their bodies to feed this bizarre addiction.

Featuring leading characters who are incidentally gay, SOCKET breaks new ground by adding a unique layer to an already innovative concept, mirroring the downward spiral of both substance and sex addiction.

A co-production of Dark Blue Films and Velvet Candy Entertainment, LLC, SOCKET features electrifying performances by a talented, good looking (and in the case of the leads, frequently partially clothed) cast:
Derek Long ("Gay Bed and Breakfast of Terror") and
Matthew Montgomery (gay festival faves "Long Term Relationship", "Gone but Not Forgotten" and the upcoming "Back Soon") star.

SOCKET was directed by writer/co-producer Sean Abley with lush cinematography by Ivan Corona. John Carrozza and Doug Prinzivalli Executive and Co-Produced.
