Evoke Dance Company Presents: "Therapy"
Evoke Dance Company presents "Therapy"
For us, dance is a form of therapy. It's our way of expressing thoughts and emotions, bringing balance and purpose to our lives. This season, we'd like to take you on a journey through dance as a source of relief, as a healing power, and as an escape from ourselves. In this performance, you will catch a glimpse into our minds from our victories and triumphs to our losses and sorrows. We want to tell you our stories in a way that can only be told through dance; we want to show you that it is more than just physical movement, but also a way to heal, to grow, and to share. For us, dance is our communication, our empathy. For us, dance is therapy.
This season, Evoke Dance Company has chosen to donate ticket sale proceeds to the LAGLC, The L.A. Gay and Lesbian Center. Established in 1971, the LAGLC has been crucial in building the health, advocating for the rights, and enriching the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered people. The LAGLC is dedicated in providing a broad array of services to serve the LGBT community, which includes providing free HIV/AIDS care, housing, food, clothing, and educational programs for seniors, families, and homeless youth. By purchasing a ticket to Evoke Dance Company's showcase on June 22nd, you will in turn, also support and aid this empowering organization.
Don't miss out on a night of fun music and dance performances!
