Finding Georgia: Cultivating Motivation and Inspiration
Georgia O'Keeffe had periods of being greatly motivated, and found inspiration at every turn, yet she had many challenges, both a woman artist being harshly judged and critiqued, as well as the partner of famed photographer Alfred Steiglitz. This workshop will highlight some interesting points about O'Keeffe's life, in relation to the creative process. How is motivation cultivated? What are your own challenges to staying motivated? How do you find and sustain inspiration? Discussion and introspective writing processes will explore these questions.
No experience is necessary, nor must you identify as an artist. All that is required is a curiosity about what art might open up for you, and a willingness to experiment and be surprised at the wellsprings of your own creativity.
