NESONA SECOND ANNUAL SHORT PLAY FESTIVAL
The Festival consists of eight short plays at the NEW AMERICAN THEATRE, 1312-1314 N. WILTON PLACE, HOLLYWOOD, CA 90232:
TRICKS by Isis Pickens: A recently released Muslim from jail tries to start a new life.
INSURECTO by George W. Corbin: A captured African-American deserter who has been leading a Filipino insurgent group is being held for questioning by an infamous interrogator.
GAYER THAN LAUGHTER by Felix Racelis: A middle-aged gay man extends a special invitation to an older gay man who has fallen on hard times. It's harder than he ever imagined.
TEA WITH MRS. GARVEY by Melvin Ishmael Johnson: Wife of Marcus Garvey, Amy Jacques Garvey has tea with his former wife, Amy Ashwood Garvey.
CELEBRATING BIDDY MASON by Earless Anthony: Three women search for plaque of Biddy Mason, a former slave who became rich in Downtown real estate.
