SCORING POINTS FOR KIDS
South River Project Graduation 2013 will team up with Lonnie Allgood's Dreams for Kids to kick off an NFL Basketball Game that will raise funds for graduation night, where students can celebrate in an alcohol/drug free environment. This event will take place at South River High School on April 12, 2013.
The event will feature current and/or former NFL players who will come to town to play against several local teams comprised of faculty, police, alumni, parents, and students. General admission tickets are $10 ($15 at the door). A special VIP ticket for $30 ($40 at the door) includes a one-hour private reception with the celebrity players for photos, autographs, and chats. Doors will open at 6:00 pm for the VIP hour and 7:00pm for general admission.
Allgood formed the Dreams for Kids organization seven years ago after working with other community groups for eight years following his NFL retirement from the Buffalo Bills. The organization and its "Dare to Dream" school program utilizes current and former professional athletes to serve as role models and inspire youth to establish and work toward goals by making positive decisions.
