Come and experience the artistic expressions of Tarus and his friends.  Tarus Mateen is bassist for Blue Note recording artist, and Kennedy Center's artistic director for Jazz, Jason Moran's world renowned trio The Bandwangon.  His career also includes touring with legendary Jazz artists such as Stanley Cowell and Betty Carter.  This is the debut performance that marks the beginning of Mateen's regular tenure at Club 2147. Tarus will be joined on this evening by saxaphonist Brian Settles, Dave Robbins on piano, Terrence Arnett on drums, the brilliant vocalist Brittany Tanner, and many surprise guests- alum from Betty Carter's Jazz Ahead presented by the Kennedy Center among others.
