| Description |
AS220, Providence's unjuried and uncensored arts organization, will be bringing back the Fools Ball
as our annual fundraising event and youre invited! On Saturday, June 28th, AS220, the neighboring Pell Chaffee theatre and our backyard lots will be transformed into the site of the best party of the summer. The Gadget and Gizmo-themed Fools Ball will be a night of masked marvels, curious convoluted contraptions, artistic
absurdity and unpredictable entertainment. There will be dancing,
eating and drinking for the entire community of AS220 supporters.
With numerous interactive art installations, three DeeJays playing
all-original dance music, various cabaret acts and performers, the
Fools Ball will be a raucous bacchanalia for everyone to enjoy!
AS220 plays an important role in the Rhode Island arts community, not
only as a presenting organization, but also as a community center, a
place where people can congregate, network, see art and meet artists
at work. Our two buildings located in downtown Providence provide the
community with a performance space, three gallery spaces, residential
and work studios, a print shop, a darkroom and youth programs. Our
doors are always open to anyone seeking opportunities, resources and
like-minded artists.
Wed love you to join us and a whole gamut of Providence
gallivanters on Saturday night, June 28th for the wildest party since
last Fools Ball!;
