Color Field Ensemble: Soli at Permutations featuring Amanda DeBoer Bartlett and James Fusik
James Fusik, saxophone, and Amanda DeBoer Bartlett, soprano, pair up for an evening of virtuosic solo works featuring the complete "Rectations pour voix seul" by Georges Aperghis, "Wicker Park" by Marcos Balter, and "Ypsilon" by Karlheinz Stockhausen(New York premiere for saxophone).
Tickets include admission plus drinks! Proceeds from the event will go to support the Color Field Festival, a collaborative new music series in Madison, WI that brings together contemporary musicians and composers from around the country and highlights the work of living composers in Wisconsin and throughout the US.
The Color Field Ensemble is dedicated to the creation and production of contemporary performance. We commission, perform, and curate music of the 21st century by emerging composers from diverse artistic frameworks, focusing on multi-disciplinary experiences and works which reflect the interrelationship between the visual and performing arts.
