James Brown Is Annie feat. Hamish Stuart
Scotland's premier soul-funk outfit, James Brown Is Annie, team up with Average White Band legend, Hamish Stuart, for a special evening's live music at Clark's in Dundee on Thursday 13 September.
Celebrating the launch of their new album (JBiA II) - which Stuart both produced and played on - fans of soul, funk, and r'n'b can expect to hear a full set of fresh JBiA material, plus tunes by Steely Dan, James Brown and Bill Withers, from the Capital-based sextet.
Stuart, who played with the Paul McCartney Band for 6 years, and who has worked with everyone from Aretha Franklin and Chaka Khan, to Diana Ross and Quincy Jones, will join up with the band in the second set where audiences can expect to get to hear songs by AWB, plus classic songs from Hamish's very own funky stable.
