Save The Waves Coalition announces its second annual Life Is A Wave benefit event, a sensational night celebrating coastal environmentalism through music, art, film and community. The groundswell will once again wash through the halls of 111 Minna Gallery in downtown San Francisco on Thursday, May 22, from 6pm 'til midnight.

This years festivities will feature the live sounds of a very special musical guest, a major band with San Francisco roots (to be announced closer to event time). In addition, live bands Guns For San Sebastian and Clif Bar Inc's own Dung Beetles will open, along with two of San Francisco's favorite DJs; DJ Aaron Pope and DJ Paul.

In addition to the nights entertainment, long-time San Francisco resident and coastal advocate, Mark Massara, will be honored at the event for his tireless work to protect the California coast.

Title sponsors of this years Life Is A Wave include Patagonia, Clif Bar, Zola Acai, Mavericks Surf Ventures, Surfline, New Leaf Paper and Joie De Vivre Hotels. Additional sponsors will be announced closer to the event date.

Surfboards donated by: Andreini, Las Olas, Mandala, Stickman, TG, and Vernor.

Promotional Sponsors: SF Station.

Special Thanks to the friends of the event: 111 Minna, Aloha School of Surfing, Andreini Surfboards, Aqua Surf Shop, Carve Designs, Greener Printer, Hurley, JAM PR, Jungle Red, La Casa del Camino, Leatherman, Mandala Surfboards, TG Surfboards, Mollusk Surf Shop, National Geographic Adventure, Outdoor Research, Petzl, Plank Skateboards, Random Ridge Wines, SF Station, Sigg, Rebecca Smith Skincare, Smith Sunglasses, Spy Optics, Stickman Surfboards, The North Face, and Vernor Surfboards.
