MISSSEY 2nd Annual Inspire Change Gala
The 2nd Annual MISSSEY "Inspire Change" Gala is from  5:00PM - 11:00PM at The Rotunda in Oakland, California. The program will include a no-host cocktail (CASH BAR ONLY)and hors d'oeuvre reception with live music, silent auction, and photo booth. During dinner our keynote speakers will be Minh Dang, Executive Director of Don't Sell Bodies and Jessica Midkiff, Youth Advocate at Mary Magdalene Project. The program will close with a live auction of original survivor art work and other fabulous items. After dinner, everyone is invited on the dance floor to get your groove on MISSSEY style! Our Mission:  Motivating, Inspiring, Supporting, and Serving Sexually Exploited Youth (MISSSEY) advocates and facilitates the empowerment and inner transformation of sexually exploited youth by holistically addressing their specific needs. MISSSEY collaborates to bring about systemic and community change to prevent the sexual exploitation of children and youth through raising awareness, education, and policy development.

The primary objective for the gala is to raise approximately $60,000 for the following programs:

Direct services to victims (Advocacy, Intensive Case Management, and a drop-in center also known as the Safe Place Alternative).

Training and Technical Assistance.

Supporting the MISSSEY Community Collective (MCC):

o    Outreach Ambassadors Program

o    Development & Fundraising

o    Legislation & Policy

o    Events and Outings Coordination

o    Administrative Assistance

o    Professional Skills Development

o    Reach for the Stars Project

The program will include a no-host cocktail and hors d'oeuvre reception with live music, silent auction, live auction, dinner featuring guest speakers along with dancing.
