Description
Steinway artist and renowned pianist, Judith Cohen, kicks off the Steinway Series with special guest, opera conductor and solo pianist, Maestro Dean Williamson, in Ravels Mother Goose Suite for Four Hands. Ms. Cohens program will also include Scarlatti, Debussy, Schulhoff and Ginastera.

Ms. Cohen has delighted Pacific Northwest audiences for over 20 years as a solo artist and chamber music advocate, including founding the Governors Chamber Music Festival. Critic Robert Somerlott of The Mexico City News hailed her as an artist of unusual talent who captivated the audience with both her musicianship and stage presence.

Maestro Williamson, one of the countrys foremost emerging opera conductors, was recently appointed the Artistic Director of Opera Cleveland. He was music director of the Seattle Opera Young Artists Program until 2002. Williamson was principal coach and pianist for twelve years at Seattle Opera and has also performed as accompanist for many of the worlds leading singers throughout the United States, Canada and Europe.
