Co-Directors and Producers, Ira Mckinley & Bhawin Suchak, invite you to a Sneak Preview Screening of The Throwaways documentary film @ The Maysles Cinema, in Harlem, NY. This screening will be a one night fundraising event to support the distribution of this powerful film. This is an exclusive chance to see The Throwaways at a local theater before we submit to film festivals around the country. Following the screening there will be a Q & A discussion panel with the filmmakers.

The Throwaways tells the story of filmmaker and ex-felon Ira McKinley, who struggles to turn his life around and transform his inner-city community in Albany, NY. Weaving McKinley's personal narrative of survival with stories of emerging social movements, The Throwaways takes an intimate look at the complex challenges facing African-American males today.
