"Senator Obama Goes To Africa"
The Admiral Theater is proud to present: Senator Obama Goes to Africa to the City of Seattle for its cinematic premiere. Having been persuaded that Seattle is both a bedrock of grassroots Obama support and America's capital of independent film, Hercules agreed that Seattle was the venue to launch this films cinematic journey. Other than a later showing in Herculess native Skokie, Seattle is currently the only place this film is scheduled.
In this film, Barack Obama returns to his family's roots on an emotional journey to Africa in this new documentary by Bob Hercules and Keith Walker, the producers of Forgiving Dr. Mengele.
Part personal odyssey and part chronicle of diplomacy in action, this timely and poignant documentary follows Senator Barack Obama as he travels to the land of his ancestry. From South Africa to Kenya to a Darfur refugee camp in Chad, Obama explores the vast continent that is gaining increasing importance in this age of globalization.
