Girls Thrive
Girls Thrive is a theatre program for girls focused on creativity and self-empowerment for girls from 1st - 6th grade, rising. This one-week program introduces girls to elements of art, dance, music and theatre in a collaborative environment that encourages self-expression and supporting one another. Campers will get to sing, act, write, create, and be mentored by 15 female artists in various disciplines while working together towards a performance at the end of the week.
Our staff of talented and accomplished female mentors will provide a framework for campers to engage in an active dialogue about gender expectations and stereotypes, and ultimately to refashion familiar fairy tales in ways that showcase girl-positive messages. Each camper is encouraged to explore topics that are important to her, while also working as part of a group. Girls will emerge from the program with new tools to foster a positive sense of ability and accomplishment, and increased ability to support and work with their peers and classmates.
Campers will share their weeks' work on the Friday of camp at 3 p.m. in the Scottish Rite Theater. This event will be free to family, friends, and members of the community.
Who can apply: All girls 1st- 6th grade, rising. No prior theater experience necessary.
Program Dates: Session 1--Monday, June 17 through Friday, June 21, 9am-3:00pm
Session 2--Monday, July 29 through Friday, August 2, 9am-3:00pm
Final performance: Session 1--Friday, June 21 at 3:00 p.m.
Session 2--Friday, August 2 at 3:00 p.m.
Tuition: $325 per session ($275 Early Bird before February 15)

LUNCH
Scottish Rite Theater does not provide lunch for campers. Campers need to bring lunch each day. Snacks provided. We can provide refrigeration or re-heating for lunches. However, if the child is eligible for free lunch at school, and would like free lunch at camp, we will make arrangements for lunch to be provided.

Session 1:
Full refunds if cancelled by March 1
75% refunded if cancelled by April 1
50% refunded if cancelled by May 1
Session 2:
Full refunds if cancelled by April 1
75% refunded if cancelled by May 1
50% refunded if cancelled by June 1
No refunds for cancellations made on or after
**Ticketing service charges are non-refundable.
