BOWI Benefit for Healing the Children
Healing the Children presents an evening of Celtic music with "BOWI" on Saturday, May 18,2013, at the Sunset Hill Community Association Building at 3003 NW 66th Street, Seattle, WA -- http://sunsethillcommunity.org/ --
Doors open at 7:00 PM -- Music from 8:00 PM to 9:45 PM --
No host bar -- $30 donation per ticket for general admission -- $50 donation per ticket for VIP reserved front row seat with complimentary beverage
All proceeds will benefit Healing the Children, Oregon and Western Washington Chapter, an organization whose mission is to restore health to impoverished children of the world through donated medical services. Healing the Children is a non-profit volunteer organization that provides medical treatment for children in their homeland by volunteer medical teams. The organization also arranges for other children to be flown to the United States for donated specialized care. --

For years, Seattle-based BOWI has been entertaining audiences with a blend of traditional Celtic music and unique energy. The BOWI sound encompasses a wide range of music including driving Jigs and Reels, exciting vocals, and beautiful ballads. An incredibly flexible and adaptive group, BOWI has performed at everything from Pubs and local faires, to private parties and weddings. Acoustic or "Plugged in", BOWI has never failed to get the hands clapping and feet stomping.
The band consists of: Tony Schuler (guitar, vocals), Rich Teachout (tenor banjo, whistle, octave mandolin, vocals), and Leah Cupps (bodhran, vocals).
