Pilgrimages
Several Cedars members have made significant pilgrimages in their lives, and through these series of presentations we will be able to learn from their journeys.
Each event occurs on a Sunday. The first 2 are at 4 to 5:30pm. The second 4 are at 7 to 8:30pm.
January 27: Herb Hethcote on teaching graduate students in India and meeting with some sponsored ANSWER students in Nepal.
February 24: Barry Andrews on Concord, Massachusetts, and Walden Pond, which have been a place of pilgrimage since the time of Emerson, Thoreau and the Transcendentalists
April 7 at 7pm: Bill Scarvie on his trip to Peru to help villages build stoves, and related spiritual journeys.
April 28 at 7pm: Jeff and Denise Bauman ontheir trip to Transylvania for the International UU Women's Convocation and touring significant sites in the history of the Unitarian Church.
May 19 at 7pm: Keri Schmit on her trip to Rwanda, the inspiration for her February 3, 2013 sermon on Rwanda and Forgiveness.
June 16 at 7pm: Reverends Barbara and Jaco ten Hove talk about their 2013 travels to Israel, England and Ireland during their January to May sabbatical.
