Sliabh Notes(pronounced Sleeve) is Matt Cranitch (fiddle), Dónal Murphy (accordion), and Tommy O'Sullivan (vocals, guitar). It is a dynamic grouping of musicians each of whom is well known in various iterations around Ireland and beyond. While the music reaches far, its focus is squarely on the rich traditions of Cork and Kerry. The name is taken from Sliabh Luachra (The mountain of the rushes) which describes a place, but also a culture; a repertoire of tunes and a style of playing them. The mixture of tunes and songs makes for a virtual trip into that ancient and culturally blessed part of the province of Munster.
JUST ADDED: Fellswater will open the show. Fellswater is a four piece Celtic ensemble that plays a wide range of music from traditional to modern compositions, and draws from the heritage of all the Celtic country, especially Scotland, Ireland, Brittany and Canada. Some great instrumentalists with this band on whistle, flute, guitar, mandolin, bouzouki, violin, smallpipes and border pipes.

As is the custom of the Burren, it is anticipated informal and dynamic post concert sessions will be a feature.
