The Old West Trio and McAvoy Layne, A Benefit for Imagination Theater
Join us for an evening of Cowboy Music with the Old West Trio and McAvoy Lane.

ONLINE TICKET SALES CLOSE 12 HOURS PRIOR TO SHOW TIME.  Tickets will be available at the door.  Get there early for best seating choice.

The Old West Trio is a western music group that features sweet harmonies, intricate guitar licks, and first-rate yodeling. The trio of native Californians is composed of Steve Ide (rhythm guitar), Steve Johnson (lead guitar), and Leslie Ide (upright bass).

The Old West Trio has performed throughout Western North America for over 15 years and has garnered an Album of the Year nomination from the Academy of Western Artists. They are members of the Western Music Association and co-founders of Scofield's Cowboy Campfire at the Red Mule Ranch (Fiddletown, California).

Also slated to perform is McAvoy Layne.  For twenty four years now, in over two thousand performances from Leningrad University in Russia to Piper's Opera House in Virginia City, McAvoy Layne has been preeminent, in preserving the wit & wisdom of "The Wild Humorist of the Pacific Slope," Mark Twain.  Says McAvoy, "It's like being a Monday through Friday preacher, whose sermon, though not reverently pious, is fervently American."

McAvoy is the ghost of Samuel Clemens in A&E's biography of Mark Twain, and in the Discovery Channel's Cronkite Award winning documentary, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.  He is a winner of the Nevada award for excellence in school and library service, and author of a soon to be published memoir, Becoming Mark Twain.
