Mother Falcon's Music Laboratory
This week-long camp will offer orchestra students the opportunity to use their technicality to expand their musicality. Incorporating improvisation, collaborative composition, songwriting and exercises designed to inspire adventurous and fun musical thinking, the award winning and wildly popular Mother Falcon will lead students in finding their own sound grounded in their classical training, but incorporating and exploring their influences without regard for genre or imposed constraints. Folk, pop, hip hop, jazz or anything else, this camp will show you how to fuse your inspirations and skill to find your personal voice as a musician. A final performance showcasing students' musical creations will take place at the end of the week.
Because an integral part of this program is the creation of collaborating ensembles, please only register is you can attend all sessions.
Program Dates: Monday, July 22 through Friday, July 26, 9am-5:00pm
Final performance: Friday, July 26 at 6:00 p.m.
Tuition: $375
