Soil to Skin - Making Regenerative Color
Bringing the botanic bounty of the garden into the kitchen for a day of dye making.  We will explore 5,000 year old
dye recipes from species like locally raised madder and indigo and combine them with over-dyeing processes from species native
to California-- coyote brush, california solidago, and coffeeberry. Participants will learn to make their own substantive and lasting dyes on a range locally raised wools and organic cottons from the California's Capay Valley.  Everyone will create their own range of samples to document the colors of the season and fibers of our region.

This class will include tea and snacks upon arrival as well as a healthy garden fresh lunch.
