Improv: Beyond the Basics
The course is designed to bridge the gap for the improviser who has a firm grasp of the basics and is looking to move into more sophisticated and conceptual work. Emphasis is on sustaining narrative for extended periods by doing Harolds, entire plays in specific styles, and other long form improvisation.
This is a four-week class, Mondays,7-10pm April 7-28 Tuition is $150.
Brandon Felker has been performing and teaching comedic improvisation for fifteen years. He started in Chicago, where he studied at ImprovOlympic with the late Del Close. He later moved to Seattle and has been a company member at Unexpected Productions since 1998. He is also a co-founder of the slasher movie improv group, Blood Squad. Brandon has taught and performed improv all around the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
Note: Give yourself plenty of time to find parking.
