Opening Gala and EXPO
LEP-ESTO 2013 gets off to its official start with an inspiring opening ceremony at the Palace of Fine Arts. Plan to arrive early to enjoy the EXPO of Estonian cultural, business, and travel opportunities. The evening will include the first ever performance of the Estonian National Ballet on American soil, as well as the premiere of a ballet choreographed for LEP-ESTO 2013 by Tiit Helimets, principal dancer with the San Francisco Ballet since 2005. Tiit (photo by Chris Hardy) was born in Viljandi, Estonia and began his career with the Estonian National Ballet, and continues to do creative projects in support of Estonia and Estonian dancers.
