Mountain Gear presents the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour. Join us in Chicago's historic Portage Theater for this cinematic celebration of mountain culture. The film tour features a collection of the most inspiring action, environmental, and adventure films hand-picked from the prestigious Banff Mountain Film Festival held each fall in Alberta, Canada.
Mountain Gear proudly joins tour sponsors National Geographic and The North Face in celebrating the 37th annual festival. The evening's films will transport you to exotic landscapes and reveal remote cultures. Experience adrenaline-packed action sports up close and personal.

This year's films cover mountain sports like skiing, climbing, kayaking, and mountain biking along with exotic mountain culture from remote corners of the Earth. Revel in an evening of dramatic scenery, quirky comedy, artistic cinematography, and epic adventures. Titles include grand prize winning Crossing the Ice, Honnold 3.0, and The Gimp Monkeys.
Each screening will feature different programs of the best independent and documentary adventure films available. Expect over 2 hours of films at each screening, as well as an intermission with refreshments. There will be a drawing for an array of outdoor items to add to the festivities.
