| Description |
The 48 Hour Film Project gives filmmakers the chance to showcase their talents in an original and creative form. It also provides exposure for the filmmakers and their films - premiers are held in each city just days after the competition.
Phoenix films are eligible for city-based awards, such as Audience Favorite, Best Sound Design, Best Editing, Best Acting and Best Cinematography (to name a few). One team will be selected as the Phoenix City Winner and will go on to compete against teams from around the world for the title of "Best 48 Hour Film of 2008" and a chance at national distribution.
There will be a 9:30 p.m. screening on Friday, May 16, followed by an awards ceremony to announce the winners and hand out prizes. Tickets are $7 per person. Screenings are open to the public and will be held at the Pollack Tempe Cinemas, 1825 E. Elliott Rd., Tempe, AZ. |
